Why This Summit Matters

Social media has transformed modern life.

For billions of people, it is a primary tool for communication, entertainment, education, business, relationships, and self-expression. At the same time, growing concerns have emerged regarding excessive use, compulsive behaviors, anxiety, depression, loneliness, sleep disruption, cyberbullying, body image concerns, social comparison, and the mental health effects of algorithmically driven digital environments.

The International Social Media Addiction Summit 2027 creates a space for evidence-based discussion around these challenges.

The goal is not simply to ask whether social media is good or bad.

The goal is to better understand:

  • Why some individuals develop problematic patterns of use
  • How social media affects mental health and wellbeing
  • Why children and adolescents may be particularly vulnerable
  • How algorithms and platform design influence behavior
  • What prevention strategies are effective
  • How clinicians can identify and treat problematic social media use
  • How schools, families, governments, and technology companies can promote healthier digital environments
  • What the future of digital wellbeing should look like

Frequently question

Have Any Question? Find
Answer Below

  • When should I arrive at the event?
We encourage all our speakers to attend from beginning of the conference. Many of our delegates might have seen your name in our Scientific program and wants to meet you. If this is not possible, we recommend you to arrive at least an hour before the commencement of your speech and preferably during a break in the program. This will allow you to go through your slides with our AV technician.
  • How is the program structured?
Our program is structured to encourage the interaction between speakers and the audience. If you are presenting a single Track, we request you to keep your slides short, colorful and informative. Allow enough time for questions at the end of your presentation and try to keep it interesting.
  • How will the conference room be like?
You will be asked to speak from a lectern on the stage in the conference hall. If you are Track chair, you will be seated in front of the stage throughout your session. Audience Q&A will be held at the end of each session, except during panels when moderators tend to keep things more interactive.
  • What if there are changes to the program schedule?
The organizing committee tries to minimize disruption to conference program as much as possible, but sometimes it is unavoidable. If there is a change in the program with regards to your talk time, the conference organizer will contact you as soon as possible. We will inform the delegates on the day and reproduce new copies of the program agenda in the conference workbooks. Last minute changes will be communicated as soon as they are known and you will be informed immediately about the changes that affect your talk time.

Miami Airport Convention Center (MACC)

Miami, Florida, USA

The International Social Media Addiction Summit 2027 will be hosted at the Miami Airport Convention Center (MACC) in Miami, Florida, USA.

Located at 711 NW 72nd Avenue, Miami, Florida 33126, the venue provides a professional setting for an international gathering of psychologists, psychiatrists, neuroscientists, behavioral scientists, researchers, healthcare professionals, educators, technology experts, policymakers, and digital wellbeing specialists.

With extensive conference and event facilities, MACC is well suited to the summit's two-day program of keynote presentations, scientific sessions, panel discussions, workshops, oral presentations, poster sessions, and networking activities.

A Professional Environment for Digital Mental Health & Behavioral Science

The International Social Media Addiction Summit focuses on the rapidly developing relationship between social media use, human behavior, mental health, technology, and digital wellbeing.

The conference venue provides an appropriate setting for interdisciplinary discussions bringing together professionals from psychology, psychiatry, neuroscience, behavioral science, public health, education, technology, and policy.

Key discussions may include:

  • Problematic social media use

  • Behavioral addiction

  • Mental health and digital behavior

  • Children and adolescent wellbeing

  • Neuroscience and behavioral science

  • Artificial intelligence and algorithms

  • Cyberbullying and online safety

  • Clinical assessment and interventions

  • Digital wellbeing

  • Technology policy and regulation

Conference Facilities

MACC offers extensive event infrastructure designed for conferences, meetings, exhibitions, and professional gatherings. The venue currently lists 172,000 square feet of total function and exposition space, multiple ballrooms, a dedicated conference center, and numerous meeting and event spaces.

The summit can make use of spaces suitable for:

  • Keynote presentations

  • Scientific sessions

  • Panel discussions

  • Workshops

  • Oral presentations

  • Poster sessions

  • Technology presentations

  • Exhibitions

  • Sponsor activities

  • Networking sessions

The venue also offers flexible rooms that can accommodate different conference formats and audience sizes.

Convenient Location for International Delegates

One of the major advantages of MACC is its location close to Miami International Airport (MIA).

The official venue describes MACC as being minutes from the airport and provides complimentary airport shuttle service for hotel guests. This can make arrival and departure more convenient for international speakers and delegates.

The venue is also positioned near major road connections serving Miami and South Florida, making it accessible for both local and international participants.

Connected Accommodation

The conference venue is connected with the DoubleTree by Hilton Miami Airport, providing accommodation within the same overall venue destination.

This creates a convenient experience for conference participants, allowing delegates to stay close to the conference sessions, networking activities, and dining facilities without requiring daily transportation between a separate hotel and conference venue.

An Ideal Setting for International Collaboration

The summit brings together professionals from multiple disciplines because social media addiction and digital wellbeing cannot be understood from a single perspective.

Researchers, clinicians, educators, technology specialists, policymakers, and public health professionals will have opportunities to exchange research findings, discuss emerging challenges, and explore collaborative approaches to healthier digital environments.

The conference environment is therefore designed around three key principles:

Scientific Exchange
Sharing research, evidence, clinical experiences, and emerging findings.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Connecting psychology, psychiatry, neuroscience, education, public health, technology, and policy.

Professional Networking
Creating opportunities to develop international research, academic, clinical, and professional relationships.

Experience Miami

Miami provides an attractive destination for an international conference, combining global connectivity with a diverse cultural and professional environment.

Participants attending the summit can explore Miami's beaches, restaurants, cultural attractions, entertainment, and international atmosphere during their stay.

The city's destination appeal also provides delegates with opportunities to extend their visit before or after the conference.
